Set Appearance Mode (Light, Dark, System)

Choose a default appearance mode while keeping readability and contrast intact.

Before You Start

  • Sign in as a community owner or admin.
  • Open `General settings` for your community.

Step 1: Find Appearance Mode

  1. In `General settings`, find `Appearance mode`.
  2. Open the dropdown.

Step 2: Choose Light, Dark, or System

  • Choose `Light` to always show light mode.
  • Choose `Dark` to always show dark mode.
  • Choose `System` to follow each visitor’s device setting.

Step 3: Save Changes

  1. Click `Save changes`.
  2. Refresh your community page to verify the selected mode.

Troubleshooting

  • Mode looks unchanged: refresh the page once.
  • System mode not matching: check your device light/dark preference.
  • Low contrast in dark mode: upload a dark logo variant in Branding.

Expected Result

Your community uses the appearance mode you selected in General settings.
